Katie Isaacs received a Presidential Scholarship to attend Wilmington College, Ohio, where she plans to major in education.
The Lakota East High School graduate is the daughter of Dinah and Charles Isaacs of West Chester Township.
Teacher of year
The Princeton City School District has named Patrick Bowes, a Sharonville Elementary School teacher, as the 2002 Princeton Teacher of the Year.
He will be Princeton's representative for the Ohio Teacher of the Year.
Two fly solo
Johann Gebauer, of Amelia, and Eric Francis, of Loveland, have taken their first flights without an instructor, soloing in a single-engine aircraft.
They are enrolled in the Aviation Technology: Professional Pilot program at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College.
The program awards applied science degrees and commercial pilot's certificates.
Off-campus study
Students at Denison University, Granville, Ohio, are studying off-campus this semester:
Elizabeth Brauer, a junior economics major, is with the University of Virginia's program in Valencia, Spain.
The Ursuline Academy graduate is daughter of Donna and Albert Brauer of Loveland.
Kristen Renzi, a junior English major, is with the Advanced Studies in England program in Bath, England.
The Mason High School graduate is the daughter of Deborah and Anthony Renzi of Mason.
