SAN DIEGO - Kelly Spiker ran for 153 yards and Geno Mattioda added 117 yards and two touchdowns, leading Dayton to a 27-17 win over San Diego and the Pioneer Football League North Division title on Saturday night.
The Flyers hung on for their seventh straight victory and a berth in next Saturday's PFL championship game against South Division champion Morehead State.
Dayton (10-1, 4-0 PFL) will attempt to win its eighth championship in the league's 10-year history.
The Flyers dominated San Diego (5-5, 3-1 PFL) from the outset, controlling the ball for 23 of 30 minutes in the first half, but had only a 17-7 halftime lead.
The Toreros scored on Eric Rasmussen's 39-yard pass to Adam Hannula with 5:27 left in the third quarter to cut the lead to 17-14.
The teams traded field goals in the fourth quarter with Dayton's Jesse Obert kicking a 27-yarder and Adam Williams making one from 39 yards out with 6:11 left to cut the lead to 20-17.
But Mattioda scored his second touchdown, a 1-yard run with 2:53 remaining, for a 27-17 lead.
