FOREST PARK - A West Chester father was arrested at a shopping center Sunday after he disciplined his 2-year-old son by hitting him in the stomach twice with his closed fist.
Police charged Frederic Hambon, 36, of the 2200 block of Fox Sedle Way, with child endangerment after the 4:30 p.m. incident at Forest Fair Mall.
Mr. Hambon was observed inflicting corporal punishment on his son while in the Bass Pro store, according to police. He allegedly struck the child in the stomach while holding him in a headlock. The toddler's condition was not known Sunday night.
