Hats, mittens collected for kids

The University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Fifth Third Bank are hoping to collect 10,000 sets of hats and mittens for needy Tristate children.

The fourth annual hats and mittens drive continues through Dec. 6. The items will be distributed to area elementary schools.

Last year, roughly 3,500 sets given were to local children.

Donations can be made at about 20 Fifth Third branch locations. For more information, call 475-7300.
