BATAVIA - A former candidate for the Ohio House who is also a gospel singer was sentenced to six months in jail Tuesday after admitting to molesting three teen-age boys more than two years ago.

Anthony Waters, 36, formerly of Williamsburg, who ran as an independent for state representative in the 72nd district in 2000, pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in Clermont County Common Pleas Court in October.

He was originally indicted on two counts of rape, five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of compelling prostitution in connection with the molestation, which involved two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy between April and June of 2000.
