Associated Press
PITTSBURGH - Jan Hrdina scored one goal and set up two others, and Mario Lemieux had four assists as Pittsburgh beat slumping Philadelphia.
Defenseman Dick Tarnstrom added three assists for the Penguins, who won their third consecutive game. Alexei Kovalev and Aleksey Morozov each had a goal and an assist, and the Penguins' top-rated power-play unit produced four goals.
It was the second straight blowout loss for the Flyers, who were beaten 6-0 in Toronto on Saturday night. Philadelphia, which has scored only 12 goals while going 1-4-4 in the past nine games, also lost left wing John LeClair to a dislocated right shoulder.
Martin Straka, Ville Nieminen, Janne Laukkanen and Dan Lacouture also scored for the Penguins.
Keith Primeau and Jeremy Roenick scored for Philadelphia.
Oilers 3, Blue Jackets 1 COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ryan Smyth scored two goals 19 seconds apart in the first period as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1 Wednesday night.

Rookie Rick Nash scored for Columbus, which lost its third straight.
Canucks 3, Hurricanes 2 RALEIGH, N.C. - The Vancouver Canucks set a franchise record with their eighth straight win as Daniel Sedin scored the go-ahead goal with 11:15 left.
The Canucks broke their previous best winning streak of seven set in February 1989, despite going 0-for-7 on the power play.
Dan Cloutier earned his NHL-leading 13th win as the Canucks improved to 10-1 in November.
Ed Jovanovski and Trevor Linden also scored for Vancouver.
Carolina's Rod Brind'Amour scored his team-leading 10th goal 39 seconds into a power play, and Bret Hedican had the other Hurricanes goal.

Nylander assisted on the Capitals' first three goals and scored the final one. He has five assists and six points the last two games.
Injuries sidelined both Jaromir Jagr (groin) and Peter Bondra (back spasms), and their absence was felt on Washington's struggling power play. Glen Metropolit had the other Capitals goal.
Rob Niedermayer and Steve Begin scored for Calgary.
Lightning 1, Sabres 1 BUFFALO, N.Y. - Kevin Hodson stopped 22 shots to record his first standings point in more than three years, allowing Tampa Bay Lightning to rally for a tie against Buffalo.
Fredrick Modin, set up by Martin St. Louis, scored the tying goal 4:37 into the third period as the Lightning improved to 3-4-2-1 when trailing after two periods.
Vaclav Varada scored for the Sabres, who squandered their fourth third-period lead of the season and have managed just one win in 15 games (1-10-3-1).
Hodson had been out of hockey the last two seasons, serving as an assistant coach in the Ontario Hockey League before rejoining the Lightning last May.
Senators 2, Islanders 2 UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Radek Bonk's power-play goal in the third period helped Ottawa extend its unbeaten streak at Nassau Coliseum to 15 games.
Magnus Arvedson also scored for the Senators, who haven't lost on Long Island since Jan. 6, 1996 (10-0-5). The Senators have lost to the Islanders only once in the last 27 meetings (19-1-7).

Brett Hull and rookie defenseman Dmitri Bykov also scored for the defending Stanley Cup champions, who broke a three-game winless streak. New Jersey failed to win for the third straight game.
It appeared that John Madden gave New Jersey a victory 28 seconds into overtime, but a pass was directed into the net by Madden's skate and was waved off.
Jeff Friesen and Turner Stevenson had the New Jersey goals.
