Edgewood High School in Butler County will celebrate its 1,500-seat gym with a grand opening Saturday featuring an all-day marathon of boys and girls basketball games against rival high schools Ross and Madison.

Alumni, including members of Edgewood's first basketball teams in 1970-'71, will be introduced before the varsity games.

The Edgewood freshmen girls team will tip off at 11:30 a.m. against Ross, and five more games will follow through the day, with the last being the Edgewood varsity boys team against Madison at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the day are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
