Ducks coach likes direction of clubThe Cleveland Barons defeated the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 1-0 Friday in an American League Hockey game. But the Ducks have nothing to feel bad about.
"We did everything right but win the game," Ducks coach Brad Shaw said. "We certainly dominated, especially in the last 30-35 minutes of the game. Our forecheck took over, and the majority of the time was spent in their zone.
"We can focus on the wins and losses, or we can focus on the effort and the execution of what we're asking guys to do. As a coach, I never like to lose; I'm one of the worst losers around. But when we see so many good things out there, if we do them on a consistent basis, we're going to win more than our share of games."
