Duke Realty Corp. has paid out more in dividends than the value of the firm's initial share price since it became a publicly traded company in October 1993.
The Indianapolis-based firm has issued $11.94 in dividends since 1993 versus an original share price, adjusted for stock splits, of $11.88. The firm's latest quarterly dividend, 45.5 cents a share, was issued Friday.
The dividend payout also has more than doubled since 1993 , from 90 cents a share to $1.82 a share.
That doesn't include stock price appreciation. Shares have increased 110 percent in the past nine years.
Duke is Greater Cincinnati's largest owner of office and industrial properties. Shares Monday closed at $25.35, up 35 cents.
