Georgetown wins NAIA semi 35-19

GEORGETOWN, Ky. - Georgetown quarterback Neil Warren threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead Georgetown College to a 35-19 victory over McKendree College in the NAIA national semifinals.
Two-time defending champion Georgetown (12-1) advanced to the title game for the fourth consecutive season. The Tigers play Carroll College in the final Dec.21 in Savannah, Tenn.
McKendree (11-2), which handed Georgetown its first loss in three seasons in the first game of the season, was limited to just 139 yards on the ground. Georgetown rolled up 453 total yards, led by Warren, who completed 22 of 36 passes and rushed for 57 yards on 13 carries.
Warren threw for 190 yards in the first half as the Tigers scored on their first two possessions for a 21-6 lead. Georgetown receiver Derrick White caught five passes for 71 yards and two TDs.
McKendree quarterback Tyler Pankey completed seven of 13 passes for 127 yards. The Bearcats scored their final touchdown on Pankey's 13-yard pass to Eric Burge with about a minute left.
Mount Union 45, Wabash 16ALLIANCE, Ohio - Dan Pugh rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns to lead Mount Union in a Division III playoff quarterfinal.
Mount Union will play John Carroll next Saturday in the semifinals. The Blue Streaks advanced with a 16-10 victory over Brockport, N.Y., in overtime.
