Lebanon to race fewer days

The Ohio State Racing Commission approved shorter 2003 seasons for two harness racing tracks, Lebanon and Scioto Downs, under an arrangement requiring 17 percent reductions if approved by both track management and horsemen, according to Harness Tracks of America newsletter. Lebanon will race 94 programs instead of the 113 raced this year.
FootballARENA LEAGUE2: The Cincinnati Swarm signed defensive back/wide receiver Ramon Davenport, who played in high school at Withrow, in college at Muskingum and professionally for the Roanoke Steam.
GolfBELTERRA PRAISED: The editors of Golf Digest ranked Belterra (Ind.) Casino Resort's 18-hole championship course fourth among the nation's "best new upscale public" courses.
A panel of 700 low-handicappers evaluated the courses and scored them according to shot value, design variety, memorability, aesthetics and playability.
Bonus points were awarded to courses that allow walking.
