A 16-year-old Adair County boy accused of murder in the deaths of his parents was apparently still at large Wednesday evening.
Blake P. Walker is suspected in the shooting deaths of Barbara Peterson and Brian Walker, found dead Monday in the basement of their rural home in Knifley, Ky., 180 miles south of Cincinnati.
Troopers have fanned out across the region looking for Mr. Walker, but there have been no confirmed sightings. No one has heard from the teenager since he reportedly told friends this week that he had killed his parents.
Hanover College in Hanover, Ind., on Tuesday sent students home three days early for Christmas break, fearing that Blake Walker would next target his brother Manning Walker, a sophomore at the liberal arts college about 70 miles southwest of Cincinnati.
Mr. Walker was last seen driving a maroon 2000 Saturn sedan with Kentucky license plate 180 FVL. He is described as white, 5-foot-8, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Kentucky State Police at (800) 222-5555 or the nearest law-enforcement agency.
There will be a public memorial service for Ms. Peterson and Mr. Walker 2 p.m. Sunday at the Presbyterian Church in Columbia, Ky.
