Monday: Hearing on WorldCom Inc.'s proposed compensation plan for incoming CEO Michael Capellas; Treasury bill auction, 2 p.m.

Tuesday: Federal Reserve reports on industrial production for November; Labor Department reports on consumer price index for November; Commerce Department reports on housing starts for November.

Wednesday: Commerce Department reports on international trade for October; mortgage giant Fannie Mae releases its year-end housing and economic outlook report.

Thursday: The Conference Board releases its Index of Leading Economic Indicators for November; Treasury Department reports on the federal budget for November; Labor Department reports on weekly jobless claims; Freddie Mac, the mortgage company, reports on mortgage rates.
