TRENTON - Edgewood High School football coach and athletic director Steve Channell will be leading a team effort for charity Wednesday as Cougar football players, coaches and cheerleaders hustle to raise money for needy kids.
From 4-9 p.m. the Cougars will work at the Trenton Skyline Chili, 917 W. State Route 73, offering specially priced meals, from which profits will go to needy children and families in Butler County's Edgewood school system.
The event, sponsored by Skyline and "Cougars For Kids" founder Mr. Channell, is the first for the new charity and will feature the students and coaches working as cooks, servers and dishwashers.
Edgewood students have already been selling special $5 meal tickets in the community. To buy tickets, call the school at 867-7425 or Skyline at 988-0655.
