Ever since Cincinnati Ballet introduced the Nutcracker in 1974, it has been the company's most popular ballet.
Its first eight performances sold out, breaking a Music Hall record. Now it has expanded to 13 performances.
The company expects 26,000 people to see it before it closes on Dec. 28 - and that's not counting two student performances.
A hit with families, it combines equal amounts of shimmering magic to enchant children with enough serious dancing to keep adults happy.
