SPRINGDALE - An employee at a Tri-County Mall store was arrested Saturday and charged with stealing more than $1,000 of merchandise.

Kelly Hickman, 27, of Springdale, is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on one count of theft and is scheduled to appear in court today.

Ms. Hickman was arrested at The Limited store about 1:30 p.m. She is accused of taking $1,675 worth of clothing and other items over a three-month period, an arrest report shows.

A store manager discovered the alleged theft, according to the report. Ms. Hickman has given the manager a written statement confessing to taking the merchandise, the report reads.
