The nominations for the nation's best public restrooms are in, and the top 10 list includes not one but two in Cincinnati.
Since October, the Sanis hygiene division of Cintas Corp., the Mason uniform supplier, has been accepting nominations via the Internet for its second annual America's Best Restroom Award.
Cincinnati was the only community with two nominees. One is the public facility at the Cincinnatian Hotel, which a nominator noted includes fresh orchids and attractive soap dispensers, and the other is the restroom at Yavneh Day School in Kenwood, which a nominee said "is just like going home."
The public can view pictures of each nominated facility, read descriptions by nominators and vote on their favorite by going to www.TheBestofUSA.com.
Online voting will continue through Feb. 8 with winners announced in March.
The winning room will receive a certificate of recognition. The top five vote getters will enter the Best Restroom Hall of Fame.
Last year's top vote-getter was the restroom in the main building at the University of Notre Dame.
