- Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Hawks, had 27 points and 11 rebounds in Atlanta's 81-79 victory over San Antonio.
- Lucious Harris, Nets, scored 25 points in New Jersey's 110-90 victory over Milwaukee.
- Stephon Marbury, Suns, had 26 points in Phoenix's 108-95 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
- Eddie Jones, Heat, scored 28 points as Miami beat Boston 90-70.

Atlanta beat San Antonio 81-79 on Friday night in Terry Stotts' first game as an NBA head coach. Stotts took over for Lon Kruger, who was fired Thursday, and lead Atlanta to only its second win in its last eight games.
