NKU men top Ferris St. to reach perfect 10

Northern Kentucky University maintained its perfect record with an 85-65 victory over Ferris State Saturday at Hillsdale, Mich.
Quentin Smith had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Norse (10-0), the No. 6 team in the NCAA Division II poll.
Brenden Stowers scored 14 points and Mike Kelsey had 13 for NKU.
The Norse, who led 41-34 at halftime, made 70 percent of their shots (16 of 23) in the second half.
Carlton Epps led Ferris State (5-6) with 17 points. He also had six rebounds, matching Jeffery Shanahan for the team high.
Ferris State committed 20 turnovers, six more than NKU.
Otterbein 76, Mount St. Joseph 67Otterbein overcame a game-high 21 points from the Lions' Tom Luther in the championship game of the Otterbein "O" Club Classic championship.
Luther was 9-of-10 from the field but struggled from the foul line, making only three of his 12 attempts for MSJ (7-3).
Chris Washington had 11 points and E.J. Engelkamp 10 for MSJ.
Aaron Minister scored 20 points and Tony Borghese added 18 to lead Otterbein (6-5), which outrebounded the Mount 49-28. Scott Hadley had nine boards and Minister eight for the Cardinals.
WomenMiami 72, Butler 61
Heather Cusick scored 21 points points as the RedHawks snapped a three-game losing streak.
Colleen Day had a career-high 14 rebounds for Miami (5-4), which outrebounded Butler 45-29.
Day scored 10 points, matching the output of teammates Melanie Kozlowski and Kim Lancaster.
The RedHawks shot 58 percent (18-of-31) from the field in the first half on the way to a 41-26 advantage at the break.
Angel Mason scored 15 points, and Cortney Urquhart and Tiffany Smith each had 14 for the Bulldogs (2-7).
Mount St. Joseph 81, Cazenovia 55Tasha Reid scored 22 points and Rebecca Petty added 17 for the Lions in the consolation game of the Otterbein "O" Club Classic.
Rhonda Meyer grabbed 13 rebounds and Petty had 10 for Mount St. Joseph (8-3), which dominated the boards 61-42.
Tiffany Trent totaled 19 points for Cazenovia (1-7), the only Wildcats player to score in double figures. But Trent also had nine of her team's 23 turnovers.
