Colerain robberies not linked, deputies say



COLERAIN TWP. - A gas station, fabric business and home here were robbed Sunday in separate incidents likely involving different robbers, Hamilton County sheriff's deputies said. No injuries were reported.

Three masked gunmen kicked in the front door of a home in the 8500 block of Comet Court at 12:14 a.m., deputies said. Two gunmen held the residents at gunpoint as a third robbed a small safe in a bedroom.

The three - men in their 20s, wearing dark clothing, gloves and ski masks - fled in a red Ford Escort-type vehicle with a temporary tag in the window.

A man with a semiautomatic handgun robbed the Clark Gas Station at 7434 Colerain Avenue about 11:30 a.m., running east on Jonrose Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was described as a black man, 30 to 35 years old, 5-foot-10, 190 pounds and wearing a black knit hat, black coat and white turtleneck.

At 1:07 p.m., Hancock Fabrics at 8269 Colerain Avenue was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash at gunpoint by a man last seen running west onto Galbraith Road. He was described as white, 35 to 40 years old, with a tall, thin build, wearing blue jeans, a gray jacket and a gray stocking cap.
