"The winter show is bigger, usually, than our October one," said Mary Payne of the Warren County Historical Society, which sponsors the semi-annual event.

"Even in the gloom of winter, people come out. Snow and ice doesn't stop these antiquers. It's the lure of the hunt."

This weekend's show boasts 80 vendors, who come from all over the eastern United States and sell anything from antique canes and clocks to substantial pieces of furniture. As in the recent past, the show takes place at Lebanon High School.

Textile historian Sue Studebaker will be on hand at the Mad Anthony book booth from 1-3 p.m. today to sign copies of her new book, Ohio Is My Dwelling Place. The book takes a look at the art and history of Ohio samplers.

To give vendors a chance to pack up before dark, Sunday hours have been adjusted, Ms. Payne said.
