Woman: Web baby offer fooled others
The Associated Press
DEFIANCE, Ohio - A woman who answered an online ad to adopt a baby and sent money to the mother said she wasn't the only one fooled by the woman.
Jaimie Johnson, 32, said seven other women told her they had similar dealings over the same baby with Stephanie Arnold, 19, of West Allis, Wis.
Ms. Arnold was charged with two counts of theft by fraud. Ms. Arnold gave birth in July, and the girl she delivered still lives with her, according to the complaint.
