NKU player's NCAA record
survives challenge

SEARCY, Ark. - A bid to surpass the NCAA free-throw record held by Northern Kentucky's Paul Cluxton was derailed Thursday night when Harding's Aaron Farley missed the back end of a two-shot technical to end his streak at 88 straight.

That's nine short of Cluxton's record of 97 set during the 1996-97 season.

Farley made his first eight free throws of the night against Arkansas Tech before missing. The crowd stood and applauded for two minutes. At the end of the game, Harding coach Jeff Morgan presented Farley with the game ball.

Harding won the game, 91-66.
