Woodcrafting classes: The Woodcraft store at Gilmore Square in Fairfield will have a beginner's class on making wooden baskets with scroll saws 9 a.m.-1 p.m. next Saturday. Antiques show: More than 25 dealers from Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana with early American, period and country furniture; jewelry; books; paintings; glass; china and silver at the Antiques Show and Sale 11 a.m.-6 p.m. next Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at Fairfield Career Center, U.S. 33 and Coonpath Road, north of Lancaster. Quilting against cancer: A quilting contest with exhibits, a merchant mall, classes, lectures, a luncheon, a mini-quilt auction and breast cancer education are part of the "Sew Near To My Heart" benefit for breast cancer by the Cancer Society and Quilters' Guild, Thursday-next Saturday at Sharonville Convention Center and Woodfield Suites. Show hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. The auction will be 7 p.m. Friday.
