The 20th Century Cincinnati show in Sharonville next weekend highlights icons such as the "egg chair" and matching ottoman, originally designed in 1959 for the Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark.

20th Century Cincinnati: Paintings, metal ware, art glass, pottery, posters, textiles, dinnerware, lighting and furniture from the Arts & Crafts movement, Art Deco/Streamline era and Mid-Century Modern period will be part of 20th Century Cincinnati, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. next Saturday and noon-5 p.m. March 2 at Sharonville Convention Center. $5. Wood winners: Local winners in the Rockler Woodworking contest will be displayed 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today at the Springdale Rockler Woodworking and Hardware store, 421 E. Kemper Road. Community gardening: The Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati will start its free, 11-part community gardening course next month. Sessions will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday. City releafing: Cincinnati residents and community groups who want to plant trees in "highly visible areas within 30 feet of the street" can get trees on a first-come, first-served basis by completing an order form and returning it by March 14 to the Park Board's Natural Resource Management Section. Trees offered this year include eastern redbud, river birch, yoshino cherry, thornless honey locust and Norway spruce. Tree pick-up will be April 5.
