Women: Miami tops Kent in overtime

KENT - The Miami RedHawks, led by Heather Cusick's shooting, rallied from a double-digit deficit in the final 10 minutes for a 78-71 overtime victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes Sunday in a Mid-American Conference East Division showdown.
Miami outscored Kent 9-2 in OT, including a key Cusick 3-pointer, before a record women's crowd of 3,516 at the M.A.C. Center.
The RedHawks (14-10; 9-4 MAC) broke a tie with Kent State for the East Division lead and became the first MAC East team to win in the M.A.C. Center since the league went to divisional play in 1997-98 and ended a 27-game winning streak for the Flashes.
Cusick paced Miami with 23 points and six assists, while Colleen Day added 14 points.

The Bearcats used a 10-3 run in the final three minutes to break a 59-59 tie on Senior Day at the Shoemaker Center.
It was the final regular-season home game for seniors K.B. Sharp, Merelenea Dozier, Carolyn Alexander and DeAnna Stevenson.
Cincinnati (20-5) remained tied for first place in Conference USA with Charlotte at 10-2. Marquette fell to 14-11 (6-7 C-USA).
