Counting down to the 75th Anniversary Oscars ceremony March 23:
Only two husband-and-wife teams have both won acting Oscars while married to each other: Laurence Olivier (Hamlet, 1948) and Vivien Leigh
(A Streetcar Named Desire, 1951); and Paul Newman (The Color of Money, 1986) and Joanne Woodward (The Three Faces of Eve, 1957).
Of the 5,816 Academy members eligible to vote for this year's Oscars, 1,311 actors comprise the largest branch. The smallest is the documentary branch, with 121 members.
In 1941, How Green Was My Valley won the best-picture Oscar in a field of 10 nominees that included The Maltese Falcon, Here Comes Mr. Jordan, The Little Foxes, Suspicion, Sergeant York and Citizen Kane.
