Week 2 of the Stock Market Game saw a dramatic change in the rankings - with Springboro High School's Fraggles falling from first to 67th place.
The Yaks of Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington High School surged into the lead, mostly on the gains of MIM Corp. (MIMS). The prescription drug benefits manager gained almost 16 percent from when the students from Russ Curtis' class first bought it near its 20-month low.
In the middle school division, team No. 17 from John Cooper's class at Liberty Junior High School is leading the local teams - thanks to AOL Time Warner (AOL). The communications giant was trading near its lowest point in five years when the team bought 4,500 shares, and subsequently saw a modest 0.7 percent gain.
Adult leader Cathy Meyers is still sitting atop the division on mattresses. Her early choice of Select Comfort Corp. (SCSS) continues to keep her portfolio in the black - something none of her competitors can boast.
