Quincy ousts NKU
Men reach GLVC championship game
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Lisa Farrell scored 10 of her game-high 17 points in the second half as Quincy rallied to defeat Northern Kentucky University in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. .
Third-seeded Quincy (23-6) overcame a 31-23 halftime deficit to upset second-seeded NKU (21-7).
NKU built a 31-23 halftime lead as Sharell Snardon scored 10 of her 13 points. The Norse, however, scored just 12 points during the first 14 minutes of the second half. Pairings for the NCAA Division II Tournament will be announced Sunday. NKU is ranked No. 4 in the Great Lakes Region rankings, and the top eight teams advance to the NCAA Tournament.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Jordan Stowers' conventional three-point play with 33 seconds remaining lifted NKU in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament.
With the game tied at 81 and the shot clock winding down, Stowers drove into the lane and hit an off-balance jumper while being fouled. He converted the free throw to give NKU an 84-81 lead.
The Norse, ranked No. 10 in the Division II poll, will meet 20th-ranked Lewis in the GLVC championship game at 8 p.m. today. Lewis upset top-ranked Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday.
