Ducks tie, Cyclones lose

Enquirer news services

Peter Podhradsky scored the game-tying goal early in the third period as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks skated to a 3-3 tie with the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center.

Podhradsky netted his eighth goal of the season 4:16 into the third period for Cincinnati, which rallied from a three-goal deficit to earn a point for the seventh time in its last eight games (6-1-1-0).

Cory Pecker had a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who are 2-0-3-0 against the Admirals this season.

Jean-Francois Damphousse turned aside 38 shots and helped Cincinnati kill off all four of Milwaukee's power play attempts, including a major penalty assessed to Dan Riva for high-sticking at the 16:04 mark of the third period.

Pascal Trepanier and Domenic Pittis each had a goal an assist for the Admirals, who are 3-2-2-0 in their last seven games.

Chris Madden stopped 27 of the 30 shots he faced to preserve the point for Milwaukee.

The Ducks host the Utah Grizzlies at 7:35 p.m. today at Cincinnati Gardens.
