Prefer your pizza with peppers instead of pepperoni?
Dining writer Polly Campbell lists some of her favorite takeout veggie pizzas.
Cassano's in College Hill and Fairfield makes an unusual pizza on a thin, salty crust, cut into squares. No delivery.
Adriatico's in Clifton makes some of my favorite pizza, for pick-up and delivery only. Try the vegetarian - or sliced tomato pizza.
Pomodori, in Clifton and Montgomery, delivers regular pizza, but you'll have to pick up a wood-fired variety, which is worth the trip. In addition to a regular vegetarian pizza, you might want to try the roasted pepper pizza, among several gourmet choices.
Pizza Nova on Cleves-Warsaw Pike in Western Hills has several veggie pizzas, including a Tuscan Garden with seasonal vegetables.
If you're into unusual veggie pizzas, Dewey's has a wide variety. There's the Killer Veggie; the Green Lantern, with goat cheese, artichokes and pesto; Socrates' Revenge, with olives, spinach and feta; The Edgar Allan Poe, a wild mushroom, and Caprice, with fresh basil and tomatoes.
There are four Dewey's locations: Oakley, Clifton, Symmes Township and Newport on the Levee.
