Ever heard anybody quote the opposite of Murphy's Law, that if something can go right, it will? Paul Levesque and Art McNeil ask in their book Dream Crafting: the Art of Dreaming Big, the Science of Making it Happen. "We have often heard people describing happy occasions in their lives when everything went perfectly yet our culture has no `cute' law to refer to by name when that happens," the authors claim. "We call it the dreamcrafter's law; any time you observe things going right for you or anybody else."

Today's money tip
Unit investment trusts are like mutual funds in that they pool money to buy other securities. They tend to be focused and stick to a theme, such as tracking an industry sector or an index. Unlike a mutual fund, the portfolios are fixed, often leading to lower costs.

Today's Company: Marx Hot Bagels Factory Inc.

Marx Hot Bagels now has three locations and also wholesales to stores such as Kroger and Keller's IGA. The business was profiled in 1971 by Charles Kurault. That same year, John Marx hand-rolled bagels at a festival held at Washington's Smithsonian Institution and at Montreal's Expo '71.
