Hern Marine adds new line of boats

Hern Marine has new lines of boats. The dealership has added Regal Luxury Performance boats and Mastercraft ski boats to augment its inventory of recreational craft.

In both cases, Hern is the exclusive area dealer.

Hern, in business since 1947, has two Tristate locations: 7341 Dixie Highway in Fairfield and 8145 Mall Road in Florence.

Information: 874-BOAT (Fairfield) or 859 647-BOAT (Florence).

Bonefish Grill adds a second restaurant

After a successful first cast in Hyde Park, Bonefish Grill has snagged a second Tristate restaurant in Crescent Springs. The eatery, at 688 Buttermilk Pike, will open April 7, according to managing partner Mark Cooper.

The Florida-based franchise specializes in seafood but also offers beef and pork tenderloin, pasta and chicken dishes. Signature items include Mussels Josephine and Cajun Chicken Egg Roll.

"The Bonefish Grill dining experience originated with the premise of simplicity and consistency," said Cooper.

The restaurant will accommodate 230 diners and is open for dinner daily. Reservations are welcomed.

E-newsletter pokes fun at local techies

What good is technology if you can't have some fun with it? So says communications professional Chris Williams, who has launched Digital Cincinnati, a monthly e-newsletter targeted at area techies.

"Its ultimate mission is to provide IT professionals a place to access people and resources they may not have known exist for them," the publisher/editor said. "It's a place where the tech community can become a community. But don't expect your typically sedate public relations industry trade newsletter. It has a habit of making fun of politicians, bureaucrats, geeks and anyone that wears a shirt and tie."

Digital Cincinnati is preparing to distribute its third issue. The first two were distributed by its underwriters, the Circuit and Main Street Ventures, to their data bases.

Full-service catering service comes to town

Longtime chef John Adams has dished up a new full-service catering service.

Jeannette's Delicacies opened this month in Morrow. Adams and his fellow chefs operate from commercial kitchens in the Greater Cincinnati area.

"We use only fresh ingredients and all items are homemade by our chefs," said the owner, who has 30 years' experience in the food service industry. He owned restaurants in Columbus for seven of those years. "We offer catering services for any size group, including box lunches for businesses. All menus are custom-designed for your needs."

Information: 899-5099.

ITI TranscenData works with Samsung

ITI TranscenData has secured a major new customer, the company said.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has tapped the Milford-based venture's Data Exchange Center (DEXcenter) to integrate its network of suppliers and departments.

"Rather than focus resources to develop and maintain our own data integration solution, we chose to leverage ITI TranscenData's expertise," said Kuk Jin Kim, a manager at Samsung's Corporate Technology Operations.

ITI TranscenData worked with Samsung Data Systems to develop a fully integrated Korean version of DEXcenter. Its browser interface enables any Samsung user to send CAD models to colleagues or suppliers even when CAD systems differ.

Other DEXcenter users are Xerox Corp., Eastman Kodak Company and Johnson Controls Inc.

ITI TranscenData is part of International TechneGroup Inc.
