Ducks LW Severson recalled to Anaheim

Cincinnati Mighty Ducks left wing Cam Severson was recalled by the playoff-bound Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Saturday.

Severson had 12 goals and nine assists with 156 penalty minutes in 71 games with Cincinnati this season.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder has appeared in two games with Anaheim this season, going scoreless with eight penalty minutes.

Cincinnati had one win in its last seven games (1-5-0-1) entering Saturday night's home finale at the Gardens against Cleveland, which had lost its last 11 games (0-10-0-1).

Ilja Bryzgalov was tied with backup Gregg Naumenko for first on Cincinnati's all-time career goaltending list in games played (98), and tied with Tom Askey for most games by a goaltender in one season (53).

ECHL CYCLONES: With the series tied 1-1, the Peoria Rivermen visited Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena Saturday night for pivotal Game 3 of the best-of-5 series. Game 4 is also at U.S. Bank Arena, at 7:05 p.m. today.

Peoria won Game 2 in overtime 2-1.
