Teens rob Colerain man, shoot his dog

The Cincinnati Enquirer

COLERAIN TWP. - Four armed teenagers invaded a Colerain Township home Wednesday afternoon, threatened a resident, stole a Sony PlayStation and fired two shots before leaving, Hamilton County sheriff's deputies said.

The resident, Robert L. Hurt, was not injured, but a family dog suffered a minor gunshot wound.

The teens - all male and ranging in age from 16 to 19 - knocked on the door of Hurt's home in the 3000 block of Sheldon Avenue about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday and asked if they could use the telephone. After entering, one of the boys pointed a gun at Hurt's head and threatened to shoot him, deputies said.

The other teens stole the Play Station and four video games. As they fled, they fired two shots. One shot went into the living room floor; the second struck the dog.

Sheriff's deputies continue to investigate.
