MU spring game today

The Enquirer and wire reports

Miami's Red and White spring football game will be played at 2 p.m. today in Yager Stadium. Admission is free. Parking is available in Millett Hall's west lot.

Coach Terry Hoeppner's squad returns 49 lettermen and 13 starters. The RedHawks finished 7-5 overall, 5-3 in the Mid-American Conference.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and 1,000-yard rusher Luke Clemens anchor a MU offense that averaged 32 points and 405 total offensive yards a game.

Roethlisberger is the nation's 10th highest-ranked returning quarterback in passing yards (6,343) and touchdowns (47). Linebacker Terrell Jones leads the defense.
