Congrats



Earns 4.0 average

Caryn Creamer earned a 4.0 grade point average and was named to the fall semester president's list of the School of Music at the University of South Carolina, Columbia.

This is her seventh consecutive dean's list accomplishment. The Lakota West High School graduate is the daughter of Cindy and Ron Creamer of West Chester Township.

Sergeant of the year

Cadet Chief Master Sgt. Joel Vandergriff of Amelia has earned the Air Force Sergeants Association Award of the Year for Southwestern Ohio. He also earned his Solo Pilot Wings and will be promoted to the rank of cadet second lieutenant.

Chief Vandergriff is a member of Mustang Squadron 279, which meets at the Clermont County Airport.

Accounting graduate

Heather Newcomb, of Mount Lookout, earned a bachelor of science degree in business, specializing in accountancy, from Wright State University in December.

The Middletown High School graduate is the daughter of Linda Helm of Morrow.

Achieves Eagle Scout

Matthew Smith, Troop 694 of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, achieved the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America: the Eagle Scout award. For his community service project, he and his crew cleared debris at Camp Allyn for the Handicapped in Clermont County.

Matthew, a senior at McNicholas High School, is the son of Karen and Greg Smith of Anderson Township.

Makes dean's list

Andrea Enderle, a senior natural science major at Xavier University, was named to the fall semester dean's list and has been accepted into the Professional Program in Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. The McAuley High School graduate is the daughter of Norma and Jim Enderle of Springfield Township.
