$1,200 raised for families
In just a week, students from Clough Pike Elementary collected more than $1,200 to benefit families of troops in the Mideast.
The money from "Operation Support the Troops" will go to the 611th Family Readiness group with the Army Reserve unit in Sharonville.
Also last week, the students placed two banners in front of the school along with 475 American flags, one for each student.
The students also sent troops a number of e-mails and letters written on patriotic stationery.
