Air France is planning to bring back its flight between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and Paris' Charles DeGaulle Airport on June 1, airport and airline officials say.
The company had suspended the flight Jan. 13 until the end of February to complete reinforcing cockpit doors as required by U.S. security regulations.
Then, after the flight operated for a week, it was again suspended, this time because of a drop-off in demand due to the impending war with Iraq.
The initial plans call for the flight to operate six days a week and use an Airbus 330. The route will be operated seven days a week beginning on June 17, when a bigger Airbus 340 will be used.
Air France spokesman Jim Faulkner said advance bookings are "encouraging," although he also said that the restart is in the current plan, and that those plans could change.
Delta Air Lines, which has a partnership with Air France, also operates a daily flight to Paris from Cincinnati.
