Going out
Previews: Catch one of the final dress rehearsals of Playhouse in the Park's razor-sharp comedy The Smell of the Kill, a not-so-kind - wicked even - look at upper middle-class marriage. 7 p.m. today, Robert S. Marx Theatre, Eden Park, $28. 421-3888.
Baroque & Arc: Cincinnati Baroque and the contemporary classical Arc Ensemble team for an afternoon of masterpieces, including Handel's "Dixit Dominus." 2 p.m. today, St. Monica/St. George Church, 328 W. McMillan, Clifton Heights, $10-$20. 351-1615.
Last call: It's curtains for Thomas Schiff's Panoramic Ohio exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The show closes after today, Noon-6 p.m., Eden Park, $4-$5. 721-2787.
On TV
Top pick: Too much good stuff comes pouring out of the tube on this first sweeps' Sunday, so watch one and tape another: Young Sofia Vassilieva stars in ABC's Eloise at the Plaza, the first TV adaptation of Kay Thompson's children's books (7-9 p.m., Channels 9, 2); B2K performs "My Girl" as the Temptations on American Dreams (8 p.m., Channels 5, 22); and Touched By An Angel wraps up after nine years
(8 p.m., Channels 12, 7).
Critic John Kiesewetter also says Scott Glenn stars in the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation of A Painted House
(9 p.m., Channels 12, 7), based on John Grisham's autobiographical novel.
The goods
Tons of dirt: Well you just gotta love this - a book of nasty incidents with the rich and famous. It's called Celebrity Tantrums: The Official Dirt (ECW Press, $14.95) by Lisa Brandt. Some incidents are old and well known, like O.J. Simpson's trial, Winona Ryder's shopping trip.Others less well known - like the time Ivana Trump snow-plowed into her husband's mistress in Aspen; or the time Eminem pistol-whipped some guy he thought was hitting on wife Kim.
Planning ahead
24 hours out: Krohn Conservatory's End of Show Sale offers plants from the Garden of Fragrance and Easter Lily displays, priced to sell, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Eden Park. 352-4080.
48 hours out: The Cincinnati Chamber Music Society hosts world-famous cellist Gary Hoffman with pianist Philippe Bianconi, 8 p.m. Tuesday, Corbett Auditorium, University of Cincinnati, $7-$20. 556-4183.
72 hours till Wednesday: There's plenty food, beer and music from Catch 22 at Hyundai/WB64 Party in the Park, 5:30-10:30 p.m., Sawyer Point, downtown. 579-3191.
