J&S CUP: Top-seeded Venus Williams beat unseeded Denisa Chladkova 6-3, 7-6 (5) to advance to the final at Warsaw, Poland. She will play second-seeded Amelie Mauresmo, who upset No. 4 Jelena Dokic 7-5, 6-2.
VALENCIA OPEN: French Open finalist Juan Carlos Ferrero advanced to the final by defeating Flavio Saretta 7-6 (3), 6-2. Ferrero, who's 16-1 on clay this season, will play Christophe Rochus for the title today. He beat Fernando Vicente 6-3, 6-2.
CROATIAN BOL LADIES: Vera Zvonareva, 18, and Conchita Martinez Granados will compete for their first career title today.
BMW OPEN: Jarkko Nieminen reached his fourth career final when Yevgeny Kafelnikov withdrew because of a neck injury in Munich. The Russian was trailing 6-4, 1-0 when he dropped out.
