Left, Michelle Brubacher, the manager of the Beckett Ridge Great Clips, waves the ponytail she just cut off Lakota West High School librarian Jim Hartwell during an assembly at the school Friday. Hartwell and two students had their ponytails cut off as part of a student project organized by senior Jami Macke. The ponytails will be donated to Locks of Love, which makes hairpieces for children with life-threatening illnesses.
