Kentucky Obituaries



The Kentucky Enquirer publishes obituaries of residents in Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties as a free service. Obituaries are published based on available space each day and may be held until space is available. Information is accepted from funeral homes 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Boone County

Ruth Sullivan

BELLEVIEW - Ruth Sullivan, 88, of Fort Worth, Texas, a retired registered nurse for St. Elizabeth Medical Center, died Sunday at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne in 2001.

Surviving are seven sons, Chris of Anchorage, Alaska, James of Los Angeles, John, Leslie, Phillip, and Thomas, all of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joseph of Kingston, Ark.; two sisters, Edith Caudell of Dry Ridge, and Louise Cavanaugh of Chicago; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

No visitation. Graveside service will be 5 p.m. Friday in Belleview Cemetery. Stith Funeral Home in Florence is handling arrangements.

Harry W. Bertelsman

FLORENCE - Harry W. Bertelsman, 94, a retired inspector for General Electric Co., died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital in Florence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, C. Pearl Bertelsman in 2000.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy B. Turner of Florence.

No public services are planned. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home & Crematory in Newport is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Timothy L. Kowolonek

FLORENCE - Timothy Lee Kowolonek, 59, a truck driver for L&N Concrete Materials Corporation in Erlanger, died Saturday at his home.

He was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran, and member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Newport.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly; daughter, Kandi Horn of Florence; son, Shane of Florence; sister, Dawn Spritzky of Union; four brothers, Dennis, Aarand, and Woody, all of Newport, and Van of Alexandria; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, 830 York St., Newport. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.

Memorials: Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, KY 41075.

Campbell County

Jolan L. Sauser

ALEXANDRIA - Jolan L. Sauser, 88, of Thibodaux, La., a farmer and carpenter, died Saturday at Lafourche Home for the Aged & Infirm in Thibodaux, La.

Surviving are a nephew, Jack Opel of Thibodaux, La., and several cousins.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today and service 10 a.m. Thursday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Camp Springs, Ky.

Paul W. Brewer

DAYTON - Paul Wayne Brewer, 62, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Dayton, Ky., a retired Army master sergeant, died April 24 at his home.

Surviving are a son, Paul of Hawaii; two daughters, Paula Ehrenfels of Silver Grove, and Candace Webber of Bellevue; two sisters, Marian Hopkinson of Linden, Mich., and Linda Jo McCormick of Bellevue; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. and service 7 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Dayton, Ky., 501 Dayton Ave. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla. A.C. Dobbling & Son Funeral Home in Bellevue is handling arrangements.

Kenton County

Evelyn Wegford

COVINGTON - Evelyn Wegford, 58, died April 14 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Covington.

Surviving is a brother, Arda Wegford of Fort Mitchell.

No visitation. Service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 306 Center St., Bellevue. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel in Clifton. C&C Mortuary Service in Covington is handling arrangements.

Patsy Woodall

COVINGTON - Patsy Woodall, 58, a homemaker, died Monday at Northern Kentucky Care & Rehabilitation Center in Highland Heights.

Surviving are her husband, Jakie Woodall; son, Wayne Hickman of Cincinnati; two daughters, Carolyn Woodall of Louisville, and Angie Woodall of Florence; three stepsons, David Woodall of Florence, and Danny and Jack Woodall, both of Cincinnati; two stepdaughters, Peggy Vann of Rising Sun, Ind., and Janice Nicholson of Southgate; four brothers; a sister; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

No public services are planned. The Cremation Society of Greater Cincinnati is handling arrangements.

Pendleton County

Janice Rarrieck

FALMOUTH - Janice Rarrieck, 80, of Bethel, Ohio, an executive in sales coordinating management for Cincinnati Bell Telephone Co. for 27 years, died Tuesday at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.

After her retirement from Cincinnati Bell, she worked as a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Rarrieck; two daughters, Tammy Sue Rarrick Raye of Richmond, Ky., and Donella Cline Rarrieck of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; son, John Richard Conosia of Mount Airy, N.C.; stepsister, Geraldine Pemberton of Amelia, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and service 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
