The makers of Dreft baby laundry detergent are looking for "Pearls of Wisdom." The contest, "Wrap Your Baby in Generation of Trust," invites mothers to submit words of advice (in 100 words or less) to help other moms master the art of motherhood. Prizes range from a year's supply of Dreft to a $10,000 Savings Bond. Deadline: July 14.

Life Bio

Beth Sanders of Maryville decided four years ago to share her love of genealogy with others. She created Life Bio, an online journal to keep track of family life stories and photos you write and download. This Web-based photo and memory album captures elders' stories told but not chronicled until now. When completed, a printed, bound copy may be purchased for generations to come.

Thank a GI

While some of our servicemen and women are beginning their long journey home, thousands more are leaving or remain on watch around the world. Write your message of thanks and display it to any member of the armed forces who wants to see it. Once posted, GIs may view messages according to their state. They'll also be able to post responses at the site.
