Mark Dapkins

Chorus: Cincinnati Boychoir

Age: 12

Home: Blue Ash

School: Sycamore Junior High

Why I do it: "Because I enjoy singing; I was recommended by my fourth-grade music teacher."

Last great piece of choral music I performed: " 'Jubilate Deo.' It's a fun song to sing. It's not too hard after you get to know it."

Most embarrassing choral moment: "The first time I had to sing in front of the entire choir. (Director Randall Wolfe) sometimes uses people to demonstrate stuff."

Other talents: Piano; math whiz; made it to the state level of the National Geographic Bee.

When I'm not singing: "I like to play baseball outside with my friends, play video games (James Bond) or play tennis against the garage door."

Favorite place to sing: "Music Hall, because it's such a big place with so many people. The last time we were there, we sang with the Vienna Boys Choir. It was exciting because we were singing with a world-famous choir."

CDs in the car or stereo: Beatles; Simon and Garfunkel.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be: President Bush.

I've always wanted to be: A scientist or a musician.

Future plans: Sycamore High in two years.
