Fitness Calendar



Triathlon

Morgan's 24th Little Miami Triathlon - 8 a.m. June 1. Registration: mail in by Wednesday; online deadline, midnight Friday. Race starts at Morgan's Fort Ancient Canoe Livery, 5701 Ohio 350, Fort Ancient. $100 per team; add $10 per T-shirt.

Grab a partner for this two-person team event along the Little Miami River near Fort Ancient, where you canoe six miles, run six miles and finish with an 18-mile bike ride. Both team members must finish all sections to get a final score. Starting times assigned based on registration.

Canoeing

Paddle Days - 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Stonelick Lake State Park, 2895 Lake Drive, Wayne Township. Free.

Want to test drive a canoe or kayak before you buy? Benchmark Outfitters will be on hand with canoes and kayaks from all of its vendors at the beach.

Golf

Hamilton County Park District Father/Son Golf Tournament - approximately 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Sunday, Shawnee Lookout Golf Course, 2030 Lawrenceburg Road, near Cleves. Cost: $70 per team (if son 17 and under); $80 (if son 18 and over).

Registration required, as well as a park district motor vehicle permit ($3 annual; $1 daily).

Run

Memorial Day Race - 8:30 a.m. next Monday, Spirit of '76 Shelter, Lunken Airport, Beechmont and Wilmer avenues, East End. Cost: $10, pre-registration; $8, Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati members; $12 for all on race day.

Take part in this flat, fast, five-mile run around the Lunken Airport loop before enjoying picnic food and beer provided by the RCGC. Nike Dri-fit Club race jersey available for additional fee.

Biking

Ault Park Bike Race - 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, May 28-July 2, Ault Park, Mount Lookout. Free.

Celebrate "hump day" with this bike race series hosted by Cincinnati Parks and sponsored by the Oakley Cycle Club. 20K and 40K course follows the park's oval roadway.
