Taste of Cincinnati: The giant food and music festival full of samples from area restaurants opens three days of chowing down along Central Parkway. Noon-midnight today, between Elm and Main streets, downtown. 579-3100.

Zoo Babies: The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden shows off baby rhinos, zebras, ocelots and other furballs in addition to pumped-up children's entertainment that includes character appearances by Elmo and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. today, 3400 Vine St., Avondale. $6-$11.50. 281-4700.
