Cast change: Cincinnati Opera has announced that tenor Gabriel Sade, scheduled to sing the role of Calaf in the season opening production of Puccini's Turandot, June 19, 21 and 27, had to withdraw because of a family emergency. American tenor Jon Villars will step in to perform Calaf. Villars, a 1995 winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, has sung the role with the Canadian Opera Company and San Francisco Opera.
