HAMILTON - After a two-week search, Butler County authorities have arrested a 22-year-old Hamilton man who is accused of robbing his grandparents at their Somerville home.
Jason Jordan was arrested at a Hamilton home Thursday and was charged with aggravated burglary, kidnapping, robbery and disrupting public services.
He is being held at the Butler County Jail on $60,000 bond.
Police said a man broke into the house of Virgil and Ruth Napier about 1:30 a.m. on June 3. The Napiers didn't know who the man was because it was dark and he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt that made it difficult to see his face, said Lt. Mike Craft of the Butler County Sheriff's Department.
The man also threatened to kill the elderly couple and stole cash, telephones and other items after tying up Ruth Napier with an electrical cord, police said.
On June 11, deputies obtained a warrant for Jordan's arrest.
Investigators couldn't be reached Friday evening for details on what led them to arrest Jordan.
