Boone County

Rebecca G. McHargue

FLORENCE - Rebecca G. McHargue, 32, an office manager for Cingular Wireless of Cincinnati, and a team mom for the Boone County Pee Wee Football League, died Wednesday at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.

Surviving are her husband, Bryan; two sons, Nicholas and Brandon McHargue, both of Florence; two daughters, Allison and Jennifer McHargue, both of Florence; her mother, Brooke Vaughn of Fort Mitchell; father and stepmother, Nicholas and Myrna Thornton of Lone Oak, Texas; a sister, Christine Wiernusz of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and a brother, Gus Thornton of Lone Oak, Texas.

Visitation was Friday. Service will be 10 a.m. today at Trinity Episcopal Church, 326 Madison Ave., Covington. Cremation at Southwest Ohio Crematory in Milford.

Memorials: Rebecca McHargue Children's Fund, care of any Northern Kentucky Fifth Third Bank location.

Kenton County

James E. Bowman

COVINGTON - James "Jimmy Earl" Bowman, 52, formerly of Burlington, a self-employed contractor, and a Navy veteran, died Wednesday at Tri-County Baptist Hospital in LaGrange, Ky.

Surviving are a son, Raymond of Williamstown; two daughters, Brandy Bowman of Richwood, and Bridgett Madison of Adolphus, Ky.; two brothers, Gregory of Latonia, and Alvin of Orient, Ohio; three sisters, Pamela Westmeyer of Park Hills, Cathy Vanardo of Corinth, Ky., and Theresa Barnes of Burlington, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. and service 11 a.m. today at Allison & Rose Funeral Home in Taylor Mill. Burial will be in the Nelson Family Cemetery in Corinth, Ky.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Jane M. Cornell

EDGEWOOD - Jane M. Cornell, 84, of Placerville, Calif., formerly of Edgewood, a former teacher who coauthored a Spanish textbook, died May 8 at her home.

Her husband, Bob, died in 2000, and a daughter, Geary Haller, in 1999.

Surviving are two sons, Robert of Placerville, Calif., and Michael of Crestview Hills.

No visitation. Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. today at Madonna Manor, 2344 Amsterdam Road, Villa Hills. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lexington. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
